About CRFH: the unnecessary details

Brief history of the strip

So, one fine day, two years ago, I uploaded the first strip. The schedule then was five strips a week. The characters' personalities were vaguely set by then, and only the three guys existed. Originally I conceived the girls as supporting characters, but they began stealing more and more air time, specially Margaret. So I gave them their place as main characters. Later, the strip crawled to a seven-day strip status, along with the color sunday strips. A year passed and readership started growing at a slow but constant pace. Then I joined Keenspot and, not having to worry about mantaining the archives, the strip mutated into a colored-everyday strip. I'm telling you, slavery is addicting :)
Originally conceived as a more or less normal, gag-a-day strip, it soon turned into a hideous smelly monster. Giving the choice between fixing it up or let it roll, I put my blindfold on and now I run amok on the streets of cartoondom, expecting the best and not preparing for the worst. ;) Thank God (or insert deity of your choice) my readers are forgiving and patient with me. Here's to them, who sit on the backseat screaming and never complain. *cheers!*

The nut behind the strip

That nut, of course, is me. I'm mexican, 24, married, and finished college two years ago. My major was computer science, but don't ask me anything about it. I forgot everything because I took a lot of math during my first semesters and I swear, my brain is pretty much fried by now. The good thing about having your brain fried is that you don't make the connections the rest of the people does, and that's good if you're a cartoonist. The bad thing is that if you don't succeed as a cartoonist, good ridance. So, I'm trying hard :)
As you may guess, english is not my first language. Again I depend on the kindness of my readers to fix the horrendous, mind-boggling grammar/spelling mistakes.
There's not a lot to know about me. Except that I really love cartooning, and it really makes me happy. And if I can make other people happy while I'm at it, well, who can ask for anything more? ;)

I'd like to say thanks...

First: to my readers. Thanks for coming back to hear the rest of the story. What's a storyteller without an audience?
Second: to the guys on Keenspot for their support and friendship and partnership. You guys rule!
Third: to the people on the boards and #crfh. You guys have built a community that is almost a legend ;) thanks for your enthusiasm!
Fourth: To my mom, dad and husband. Because they look at me funny but they still love me :D
Fifth: to the people that have helped me with the site or sent fun art or pointed mistakes... a million thanks!
Finally, thanks for the awards!
