Bruno the Bandit by Ian McDonald
"I kind of consider 'Bruno the Bandit' to be like a cross between 'The Lord of the Rings' and 'The Simpsons'" - Ian McDonald |

Everyone's fave medieval thief is this month's awardee. This hilarious and extraordinarily drawn saga is about the life and adventures of a quite inept bandit with a big ego and really, really bad luck, and his loyal sidekick, a pet micro-dragon who is smarter than him. It's a daily, which it's even more impressive for the quality and detail of the art (if it was a perfect world, however, Ian would make Sundays, but I can't even think of how hard is to color through all that detail...) The think I like most about Bruno the Bandit is the way it cheers me up when I'm feeling down. It's a very happy, very silly, very funny strip. One of my fave storylines was the one when Chess was banned. I laughed till my stomach hurted. :D I've always been a big fan of Bruno the Bandit. For the record, here are some CRFH strips with references to BTB :) ... 1,2,3. (AGAIN sorry, these links were broken again, they're okay now!) There's a lot of BTB archives to read and enjoy. You better start now... ;) Excélsior! Maritza Campos-Rebolledo |
