\\How DARE they come stand on Margarets ledge, listening to our private conversations?!?\\ //Dave, why do you always have these fits of rage at the WORST possible moments?! Like when they cause you to charge an enemy who outnumbers you?!?// The others, marginally slower in their reactions, were following several yards behind, or at least some of them were. Margaret could hear their footsteps pounding down the hallway. //They wouldnt be dumb enough to wait for an elevator, would they? No, Daves already going down the stairs, better follow before he gets hurt...// But the ninjalike intruders were still retreating, bursting outside into the snow as Dave and Margaret reached the first floor. Dave snarled and charged on. Meanwhile, one black-clad figure doubled over, slowing. A companion asked, Whats wrong? Rage. Never... sensed anything... so...primal... Im alright now, it seems to be fading... And indeed, Daves mind was clearing itself of the blood-tinted haze..\\ Ill KILL them ALL and then find their families and... waitasec, what am I SAYING?!?! And why am I thinking in multiple punctuation? Okay, deep breath. But now Margarets here, cant let them get away, or she might start shooting...\\ Lets try to split them up.. Theyre already doing that... Those two, heading for the cafeteria, I think we can intercept them. Lets do it. Dave forced his already winded and tired body into faster motion once again, turning leftward towards their quarry. The unidentified figures in black were halfway through the dining hall when Margaret and Dave slammed in through the main doors. One broke to the fire exit, ignored the alarms not working, and was gone. The other continued heading for the kitchen, with Dave and Margaret right behind him. But the one who had slipped out through the fire exit, which had long ago been disconnected from its alarm so certain EE students could sneak in for a midnight snack, found that the other roommates had followed their friends (?), and taken the precaution of covering the exits. A tentacle would have made this fugitives day very bad indeed if not for the wave of gut-churning, nauseating fear that gripped Mike just then. The woman under the mask smirked, then fled at top speed towards the nearest dorm building, while her victim tried to pull himself together. Meanwhile, inside the cafeteria, a strange scene indeed was taking place. The last ninjoid had found temporary refuge behind a counter. He looked around carefully, thinking, Cant use the knives, lethal force is too much paperwork, too many questions in the morning... Ahhh... And the plates stacked before him began to rattle... *Zap zaP zap Zap!* How many more of those does he have? Called Dave to his girlfriend. *Bang Bang*! At least three more than I brought bullets! *Zaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap*! A massive blue burst swept the air, clearing all the plates currently flying, and cutting a deep groove in the counter. Oooooh, I think Im gonna be sick... Dont worry, hon, Im here... the plates have stopped, he must have bugged out! Margaret looked back and forth between her boyfriend and the man theyd been chasing, and decided that staying with Dave was more important, especially if that guy lead them into another trap. Oh, no, he hasnt bugged. Announced Mike, still clutching his head with his human, right hand, and dragging the weakly resisting form of the pretentiously ninja-like foe with his tentacle. Blue, Marsha, and April stood behind him, while Roger covered the main doors, still in human form for once. Now, said Marsha, Lets see who this masked man really is. With that she pulled down the face mask and pulled up the hood and domino mask. Finished, she stepped back, to a collective gasp. YOU!?! Asked the entire group in unison. Ummm, hi, Blue? Offered Gray, weakly. -----------------
