Psigns and warnings by ElObscuro

Blue walked along the street, hanging onto Gray’s arm. He’s not a bad guy at all, A real gentleman. He doesn’t do that fun brainwaroing like Dave does, but I can see that he almost wants to. He’s just holding back.... He’s got me impressed, now for the hard part .

Gray D’Angelo may have had many admirable qualities, but timing was not among them. “Blue, I’m sorry, I won’t be able to join you and your brother for dinner tonight, I have to work.”

“But he’s already mad ethe reservations for four, and he’s looking forward to meeting you...” And fitting you for a casket, if necesarry, but that’s just Mike being... what?

For there, storming up the sidewalk towards them, was the girl from Blue’s dream last night. Not just one who looked kind of like her, but the same girl. The short stawberry blonde hair, freckles _Freckles_, fer Gawd’s sake! , even the same tank top. And she was very angry.

“Gray! How _dare_ you?!” Screached the newcomer.

“What do you mean, Kerry?” Gray was polite, sarcasticly so, and his tone told Blue that he wasn’t too happy to see this girl.

“You know exactly what I mean! Walking along in broad daylight with this little homewrecker!” Kerry was turning red in the face.

_Homewrecker_?! But, but I never saw a ring, on her hand either... what’s going on here? Blue was perplexed. “Gray,” She said, iron in her tone, “What’s this woman talking about?”

Gray turned his attention away from Kerry, looking directly into Blue’s eyes. “She’s a co-worker of mine. We went out a couple of times, but didn’t get along. Unfortunatley,” And he turned his attention halfway back towards the other woman, “she seems a little slow to take the hint!”

“But, but, the professor said that we...” Kerry protested.

“Yes, I took you out under _orders_ And I won’t do it again without them. We might be genetically copmatible, Kerry Ann Kilgore, but our personalities most defintely are *not*.”

Blue was shocked for a moment Was I really like that about Dave? Is this what it feels like from the other end?

Kerry, stunned, sought a weaker target for her wrath. Unfortunatley, she looked at Blue next. “Why don’t you run along home, little girl? Gray here has secrets that are dangerous for little hussies to know.”

Blue’s eyes narrowed at thin insult,a dn she allowed the full evil of her anger to shine in her eyes. “Why don’t you go find someone else to play the vampire to, you overdramatic harridan?”

“Tramp!” Kerry retaliated.

“Is that the best you can do, you pallorous hag?” Blue was starting to enjoy this. Thank Gawd for that Shakespeare course last semester!

“Enough, both of you, there will NOT be a catfight here in the middle of the sidewalk.” Gray’s voice had more authority than Blue had suspected it could posess. Kerry seemed equally shocked, for she snarled, spun on her heel, and marched away, muttering vile imprecations on the both of them.
